That I apply to my everyday life…

Iโm kicking off the blog launch & my birthday ๐ with 5 Lessons Iโve learned from solo traveling. Stay tuned for a new lesson each day. If you’ve never traveled abroad solo, I STRONGLY encourage you to add this to your near-term goals list. While traveling with others is amazing, navigating the world solo is an uniquely enriching experience. The personal growth you experience when you are in unfamiliar territory with no one to rely on but yourself is incomparable.

There was a time when I couldn’t fathom eating in public or going to the movies alone. Now, I’m venturing off to a new place about as far from home as you can get for a month by myself. Itโs amazing how much we can grow when we challenge ourselves to push our boundaries. Iโm excited to share these lessons with you so that you can hopefully start applying them in your everyday life.
If you’ve ever traveled abroad alone, please share your experience and tips below. Where did you go? What did you learn? Will you ever do it again?
My first solo adventure in Dublin, Ireland at the Guinness Factory.

I travel abroad solo for work all the time (I’m currently writing this from a hotel bar in Germany). I’ve been here, Switzerland and India on my own. The thing I love most is being able to set my own schedule and it forces you to have a higher level of interaction with your environment.
My biggest tip is to be open to the experience. Yes, there are dangers in the world so be aware and smart just don’t be fearful. People will help you out if you need it when you’re out and about.

So many awesome lessons we learn from traveling solo. I feel like I find myself more quickly the second I do things solo, especially traveling. Independence takes over. Everything feels enhanced. Including discomfort ๐ Awesome message here.
