The new year is a perfect time to go within. You are being called to connect with your inner self and do the work to align with your soul and heal any emotional blocks that may have held you back in the past.
Happiness requires Healing.
Knowing and being true to yourself is your life’s mission and is the key to creating a life that goes beyond your wildest dreams! How can you be true to yourself, if you don’t know who you truly are? Spend time with yourself this season. Meditate and observe how your mind operates. Give yourself the love and care you so willingly give to others. You should be your #1 priority and you absolutely deserve to be. 🤗
It’s time to stop running and get reacquainted with your star player! You cannot heal yourself if you don’t go within to understand where you’re stuck, why and how you got there and what you need to do to break the cycles and patterns you’ve been repeating. Just like physical wounds need air to heal, your emotional wounds need to be brought to the surface from all the layers you’ve buried them under over the years. Air them out, sit with that old pain, understand what it was meant to teach you and then release that pain for good. We are no longer sweeping our pain and trauma under the proverbial rug. Your pain is here to teach you, not leave you in a state of mental suffering all your life. Once you’ve learned the lessons, leave the classroom and graduate to a heightened state of being. 👩🏽🎓
The death of my father was a major catalyst for my spiritual journey. His death opened old wounds that I previously ignored. It forced me to do some very deep self-reflection and to unmask some deeply buried pain from my past that I had not yet faced. Doing the work of healing is often uncomfortable, but it was absolutely necessary. I had to understand my past and how it impacted my present so that I could create a better future for myself. Don’t run from the discomfort, embrace it. Everything we experience in this life is here to teach us and help us elevate so that we may help others.
The key to healing is loving and accepting yourself for wherever you are right now, and then loving yourself enough to break through any destructive thought patterns, beliefs and habits that are blocking you from experiencing joy.
Remember: Anyone who has ever walked this earth has suffered some sort of trauma and emotional pain. There is no shame in suffering, but it would be a shame if you chose not to love yourself enough to heal from your pain. This is the single most necessary step to help you move from surviving to THRIVING!
